Leah, the owner, feel in love with "Attracting" and asked me to have it printed so she could hang it on the wall. This was my first time seeing it printer and I must admit I fell in love with it myself. Printed on metal the Great Heron looks like satin standing out among the twigs and leaves in its natural environment. The piece measuring 35 x 37 inches is titled "Attracting" because that is exactly what's going on here. In its breeding plumage, this male heron is "strutting" its stuff as in pose showing off it's beautiful self with the intention of attracting a mate. "Attracting" is on display along with some of the other pieces from my collection carried by the gallery on "my wall".
If you're in Venice, FL or nearby, hope you'll take a moment and check him out along with "Early Morning Fog, Milky Way Over the Keys and Louie. Or, contact me for more info on "Attracting," other images from the "WingedLife Collection" or other pieces. Art Night at the Burrie, a collaboration with National League of American Pen Women and the new Charlotte Burrie Community Center in Pompano Beach, FL was a huge success. Above are some of the highlights from the evening. It was an honor to create and organize this event and share it with my sister artists, all award-winning and internationally collected, and the community. We each shared our journey's to be the recognized artists we are today.
