Everglades Image is a Winner

Just Announced... Honored that "Pine Island Sunset Reflections" received Honorable Mention in Everglades National Park's Photo Contest. This year's theme "One Everglades, Many Stories," invited photographers to capture the many moments, perspectives and experiences that together tell the story of this remarkable ecosystem.

I'm extra honored since this piece was acquired by the City of Sunrise for thier new City Hall.

Story Behind the Photo: This night in Everglades National Park I went to Long Pine Key, which is normally my sunrise location, to photograph the sunset. As the sun fell below the horizon, I could only feel a deep sense of surrender, peace and tranquility. I was one with the majestic sights and sounds of the tropical wilderness surrounding me.
