Honored that "Red-winged Black Bird Chicks" received special merit in the Light, Space and Time recent photography competition out of 895 entries from around the world. Submissions were from 29 different countries including entries from 35 different states and the district of Columbia. That places it in the top three percent. It was a special moment for me to see (thankfully with a log lens) these hungry little beings calling for their mom. Nature is so awesome.
