Honored to be asked to write a guest blog for the Friends of the Smokies. This organization is the primary sponsor for the Artist-In-Residence program at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Writing this article was a wonderful way to relive so many special adventures to capture the beauty and wonder of this land, its nature, its spirit and the essence of the pioneers who settled here and gave up their homesteads so we could enjoy this park today.
