It's an honor ever time I'm asked to show original works photographed at this historic home and Fort Lauderdale treasure, Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. On July 5, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places." The former winter home of artist Frederic Clay and Evelyn Bartlett.
Pictured above: Top - "Bonnet House Brazilian Spider Monkey". Bottom - "Path to Bonnet House". Evelyn Bartlett had a pet monkey and bought 30 to 40 monkeys to live in the trees of the estate. When a local bar, LeClub, that featured monkeys closed they fled to the Bonnet House. Perhaps three survive there today. If interested, visit or contact Bonnet House directly: 900 N Birch Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, 954-563-5393 or feel free to contact me and I'll do it for you and make the arrangement to pick up.
